週末

木曜日に査読が通ったとの連絡が届き、原稿を送る。気持ちに余裕が出たので、代官山の蔦屋書店に初めて行ってみる。お目当ては、日本では蔦屋書店だけで取り扱われているNAVAのリュック。10年ぶりにリュックを買い換えてみる。以前使っていてのは、歩く会デイ使用するためのかったKarrimorのもの。タウンユース向けで、軽く、デザインも気に入ったものというのはなかなかない。人と同じなのも嫌だし、みんな黒で無難なのも、少しきになるところだった。新しく買ったリュックは今のところ満足している。

金曜日からゼミ合宿。自分の発表は久しぶりの規範論。発表を通じて、今はあまりこのテーマに興味がないんだなと率直に思えた。研究を頑張ろうと思う。

ゼミ合宿後、しばし鎌倉観光。七里ヶ浜まで江ノ電で行き、前々助教を押しかける。談笑して、帰りは小田急で。下北でご飯を済ませ（まずかった）、帰宅。

休日

最近、あまり日常を書き連ねた日記を書いてきませんでした（端的に言うと色々と忙しく気持ちに余裕がなかった）。この土日は、ほぼフリーで気持ちに余裕ができたので（めども立っているので）書いてみることにする。

土曜の午後に、日曜朝に人と会う予定ができたので、ついでに友人と一緒に昼食でもと思い、メッセージを投げてみる。相手も暇なようで、下北沢で落ち合うことにした。結局、最初に会う予定だった人とは面会が延期になり、二度寝をした挙句にOSのアップデートに時間を食って、予定より１時間ずらして南口に集合。Moonaというカレー屋でご飯をすませる。誕生月なので奢ってもらう（話の流れでそういえば誕生日の月だということになり、意図したものではなかった、相手も忘れていた。自分も相手の誕生日は忘れていた）。


そのあと、カルディのリニューアルオープンセールに並んでキリマンジャロなどを購入し、僕はtagcafeに向かう。結局、相手も途中で合流し、僕は論文の校正と読書、あっちは仕事の企画書作りをする。６時過ぎに店内が騒がしくなり（あとタバコ臭くなり）店を出ることにした。途中まで歩いて、そのあとは僕は定食屋で一人で夕食をとることに、という１日。


休日らしい休日というか、お互い自分の作業をしていても特に気まずくなることはなく、疲れたら雑談をできるという関係で、ちょうどいいなと改めて思った。ちょうどよさの塩梅は意外と難しく、下手に共通の話題があると議論してしまうので気分転換にならない可能性がある（もちろん勉強にはなる、ただそういう難しさから逃亡したい時もある）。とは言っても、自分の周りで全く共通の話題がない人というのはそもそもネットワークに入ってこないので、難しい。ある程度気心が知れていて、サークルも適度に違うというのはなかなか両立しがたい。そう考えると、貴重な（というと相手を持ち上げているので留保したいが）友人かなと思う。言い換えると、大学一年からのよいコンビ（とやや自画自賛ぎみ）。将来的に互いに東京を離れる可能性は高いけど、いや高いからこその今があると思いたい。でも、そんな将来のこと考えない二人ではある。大切なのは、互いの意思を尊重すること。

研究会を終えて

今日の研究会、有益なコメントたくさんもらえてよかった。他の人の報告も面白かった。こういう場では、ある程度含みを持たせた報告にするのもありだなと思う。最近、改めて研究も生き物だなと思うことがあり、自分で仮説を立てて検証しようとしても、その過程で人からアドバイスを貰ったり、人の発表を聞いてこういう方向もありだなと思いついたり、その後文献読み進めていったりして、結局、最初想定していたものとはかなり違う形で提出される。問いを立てラフな分析までするのは一人でやるけど、その後は適当なタイミングで人からアドバイスを貰い、洗練させていくのが大事だなと思うし、そういう一連の過程はとても楽しい。研究は一人でやるもんではなく、周りのサポートを得ながらできていく。

そういう意味で、今の環境には感謝する点が多い。修士なので授業もまだ多いし、毎週忙しいけれど、基本的に好きな研究させてもらってるし、今の環境には満足している。人間関係にも恵まれているし、今のところ、将来に対する不安も特にない。

ただ、このまま今の環境に安住するのも、可能性を狭めているなというのは、同時に感じることではある。田舎には帰るつもりはないし、かといって大学があるという理由で住んでいる東京に固執する理由もない。今は充実している時期だと10年後振り返って思うのだろうけど、10年後も全く同じことをしていてはいけないなと思う。安定が保身につながる道に、少なからず危機感はある感じ。

現状には満足しているけど10年後も同じ状況でいいかというとそれはまた別の話。今のうちから、少しずつ将来についても考えていかないと行けないなと思う。まあ、みんな無意識のうちにやっているんだろうけど。働いている友人と話すと、それを強く感じる。

表題の著書、池先生より頂きました。先日の第88回日本社会学会の家族（結婚）部会にて初めてお会いし、発表に対して暖かい言葉をかけてくださったのをよく覚えています。
